Team Heawekooo is an independent youth basketball team based on Oahu. It operates differently from a standard club, built around a closed roster of 6th graders who have been classmates since the first grade. The head coach has over ten years of experience mentoring kids, and practices focus heavily on basketball fundamentals, character, and getting the players ready for high school—specifically aiming for private school athletic programs. Because it is a closed family group, the team does not hold open tryouts.
